Just An Update Via Pictures

Made a random trip on the MegaBus to Dubuque, Iowa to my friend Jessica's house (2nd one from the left).

We went Spelunking/Wild Caving!

Brown Buns!

Going away party for Kami with the Burke family.
Another breakfast at the Kliewer's. Jared seriously almost broke the wafflemaker because there was something wrong with the batter and it basically turned into superglue!

Tripped to Manhattan to see my mentor from last year.

"The Great Room" in the K-State Library. This is only half, the other half is identical. Absolutely NO talking allowed in this room.

The guy that made our coffee "gave us flowers."

Just Call Me Involved

Holy Smokes! I didn't realize it had been so long since I had posted anything on here! Honestly I don't even remember what I have told you and what I haven't.

Basically my life is jam packed full of busyness. And I love it! For the past two weeks I haven't been able to add ANY spontaneous activities to my schedule. I literally have calendar on my computer that has every minute of every day of my life planned out. And the last two weeks have been wall to wall "appointments." And the same is true for the next two weeks.

So what do I do all the time? Well let me tell you!

Pretty much, my life revolves around my college group (8:08) from Christ Community Church. This year I have gotten a lot more involved and been extremely faithful to attend every week. I LOVE IT! Last year it was good, but it was so big that I never really made any friends and kind of felt like a little bit of a loner, but this year I have SO many friends. Friends that I actually spend time with and do life with. Monday nights I attend a Journey Group which is basically a small group form of 8:08. Tuesday nights I spend at Jared & Kerri's (the college pastor & wife) making dinner for a random group of 8:08 kids. This is such a great idea because it makes kids get to know people that they normally wouldn't and it helps them feel involved. I'm the only student that gets to come every week though. Perks of being related to the college pastor! Thursday is the actual 8:08 meeting and afterward we go to Old Chicago for half priced appetizers with about 1/3 of the students. After that the 8:08 students that go to UNO have a movie night that I attend (generally starts around 1 A.M.). Sunday I go to church and we have a special 8:08 section where all of the college students sit.

So yeah... it's a good thing I love those kids because I spend A LOT of time with them.

My church and college group have been such a blessing and encouragement and I thank God every day for them.

Let's Just Say I'm At The Awkward Stage Of My Life

You all can remember the "awkward stage" when you made the transition from childhood to early teen years. Big glasses, ugly sweaters, buck teeth, slouchy posture, cheesy smile, either extremely skinny or a little too pudgy, way out of date hairdo, a face only a mother could love, well you all get it... I'm talking about those two whole years of pictures that you wish were never taken.

Even Ryan Seacrest had his awkward days!
Any guesses? Young extremely famous country singer? Taylor Swift!

Well anyways... I feel like I'm in the awkward stage when I am trying to make the transition out of my teen years into..... well, whatever comes after that. No wonder it's so awkward; I don't even know what I'm trying to become.

I have just seen a few signs, and felt a change within myself lately that it's time that I start making a transition to a more sophisticated me. Here are a few of the things that I have been noticing:

I'm addicted to coffee. What!?!
I turn 20 in 3 months. What!?!
That means I'm not going to be a teenager anymore. What!?!
I'm getting ready to vote for the first time. What!?!
I've started making my bed and cleaning my room everyday. What!?!
My mom was already married when she was my age. What!?!
I started shopping in the Misses section instead of the Juniors section. What!?!
I take vitamins, not because my mom has ever told me to, but because they're good for me. What!?!

Yeah... I'm scared too. Remind me not to let anyone take any pictures of me for the next several months.

Here's just a camera dump of what has been going on in my life lately... Sorry I haven't been doing a very good job of keeping you all updated!

Hanging out at a soccer game

This isn't a very "sophisticated" picture of me.

For a hall activity we got to go tubing. Best hall activity idea ever.

We have this thing called Tennis Tuesdays. It's pretty self explanatory. Also, the reason I am wearing a nasty XL grace booster club polo is because I help line judge at Grace Volleyball games. 2nd job!

Whitney & I studying.

Jed & I are still best buds

For those of you that saw this pic on facebook... yes I am at a tattoo parlor... no I did not get a tattoo. Just got my ear pierced.

My Daniel/Revelation teacher takes a picture of his class on the first day of every year... so here it is! He is so funny!

Kami took a picture of me while we were just hanging out in the Sonic parking lot.

More Soccer

This one is for my parents: 8 months was long enough!

Best mail treasure ever!! From the sweet Reimer Kids! Thanks guys!

I'm helping with AWANA again this year.

Me and some of my friends were asked to lead a midnight worship session.

Working on remodeling the walkway between the gym and the girls dorms!!!

finished product! from 1 sidewalk to 2 (yes there are jokes about girls and boys sidewalks) from clocktower and benches to benches, lights, and a "water feature" at the other end. I will have to get a picture of that. This was taken from the girls' Stanford dorms facing the gym.
The Kliewer boys are back together.

Study day at Starbucks!

My new thing is to go to the pond and do my homework! Very relaxing!
