A very strange thing happened to me last night! I woke up in the middle of the night because I was in SERIOUS PAIN. My teeth were killing me! I'm not just saying I had one tooth that had a minor toothache. Every single of of my teeth felt like... well... I don't even know how to describe it really. You know that feeling that you get when you bite into something really cold like ice cream and the nerves in your teeth start screaming at you? That's what it felt like. But it was constant and would not go away. I really had no idea what to do. My brain doesn't function property at 3:00 A.M. I got out of bed and tried rinsing with warm water because it felt like my teeth were just too cold, but that made them feel even worse. So I just laid in bed writhing in pain until I could fall asleep again. Then I had a dream that my teeth had gotten some kind of disease and they all fell out. When I woke up in the morning they still hurt so I took some ibuprofen and the pain dulled a little. Still, almost 24 hours later I can tell that they are more sensitive than normal, but have no idea what to do or why that would all of a sudden happen.
Weird.

Just call me Happy
I have officially finished my first week of school. This year is already SO much better than last year.
Last year the people that lived on my hall had little to nothing in common with me, but this year I have several of my best friends on my hall. I am taking quite a few hours this year, but I don't think that I will have nearly as much homework as I did last year. (knock on wood)
It's also better because I already have my friends and don't have to worry about starting all over. My friends are still amazing. We already have had movie nights and had a bonfire on the beach of a river.
Last night I attended the kick-off of 8:08 and guess who the speaker was... Cousin Jared, the new college pastor! He gave a great message on the gospel and what it should mean to us every day of our lives.
Today was also my first day of work! I already have a job. I work every Friday for an elderly lady and I just to housework. She is so sweet and more than anything I am just hoping to be a blessing in her life. But praise the Lord for a great job!
Moment that made me smile: Today is Grandma and Grandpa Reimer's first anniversary in heaven. Miss them so much, but I wouldn't take them away from that celebration for anything. Happy Anniversary!

Just call me Sophomore
Another summer has come and gone. :/
This summer was different. There were many moments that I will cherish in my heart forever, and there were also weeks at a time when all I wanted to do was cry.
Before I had even left school I started to notice that after every time I ate, I would feel sick. This continued for a while and it got to the point where I never wanted to eat anything because I knew that I will feel nauseous . This continued for about 3 months. Needless to say, I lost quite a bit of weight and never had a whole lot of energy. My stubborn self refused to go to the doctor because it wasn't any kind of pain I couldn't deal with and this type of thing had happened to me a couple of years earlier and eventually it had just gone away. Just in the last couple of weeks I have started to feel better and gain back my interest in food! Praise the Lord!

The greatest joys of the summer were spending time with my family and friends. While we all worked a lot, my family was still able to enjoy
a lot of fun evenings, weekends, and vacations together.
Speaking of work, God provided me with a better job than I
could have asked or imagined. I was able to work for an attorney in town again
and have now decided to change my major to business so that I have more options
after I graduate. A legal secretary would be a fabulous job for me although
someday I hope I can be a stay at home mother and wife.
I
was able to go to Kan-Ok camp again this year for my 11th straight
year and 5th year as a counselor. I was pretty sick for that whole
week and it was very tough, but God still taught me a lot.
Another
opportunity I had was to go along with the TLC group to Oklahoma City for their
summer retreat. It was a very impactful weekend as we worked at a missionary
training center and also a coffee shop that they owned in the middle of the
worse part of OKC. Those kind of trips always make me so thankful for what I
have and take for granted every day, but they also make me long to go into some
kind of long term mission that would allow me to help those people. My life is
still so up in the air!
| On our fun day we went to a place called "Pops" That had about a million different flavors of pop, but there were SWEET cars line up all around this place. |
One
of the things I am going to miss the most will be my friends. I have so many
amazing Godly friends here, but over the last year I have grown extremely close
to these three. I am excited at what God is going to do in their futures as
they are all starting their senior year of high school.
Summer is never long enough, but I am very thankful for the
time I was able to spend in this crazy place I call home. There is nowhere in
the world I would rather call home. I am truly blessed!
